The Kite Runner is a fantastic book that was very entertaining and educational. The story's setting, Afghanistan, is a very unique setting in literature that made the book very interesting to me. I loved learning about this unique people and their unique culture. The author did a wonderful job integrating these into his compelling storyline. I would probably advise against children reading this book because there are a few adult topics in the book that may be inappropriate.

All of Gladwell's books are the same, but in this case that is a compliment. I love reading Gladwell's books because they are full of interesting new ideas that help me to view the world in a little different light. Outliers puts forth very clear and succinct ideas and the overwhelming support that follows is crisp and easy to understand. Another great book. Well done.

I love books that change the way I think or that help me to gain a new perspective. Love is the Killer App is one of those books. The premise of the book is that you can reach greater heights by sharing and helping others advance than you could ever do by selfish self promotion. The book preaches the idea that we should operate under an abundance mentality and that success in business comes as a result of strong relationships with others.

This is one of the greatest books of all time. I never realized this before but the book is loosely based on a true story. It is truly one of the all time greats of literature. A real pleasure to read.

Treasure Island is the grandmaster of all pirate books. The book is very easy to read with its straightforward storyline. It's a great book that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Did Baba or Amir commit the greater sin??

"It is not the brightest who succeed. If it were, Chris Langan would be up there with Einstein. Nor is success simply the sum of the decisions and efforts we make on our own behalf. It is, rather a gift. Outliers are those who have been given opportunities--and who have had the strength and presence of mind to seize them."

Reading vs. PracticingGBaby247 (11 months ago)
The 7 Habits book can help people to change if they are willing to put forth the effort necessary. The book was compiled after years of observation, research, and study and has some great information in it. I think that if people will practice the principles Dr. Covey has outlined that they will ultimately become more effective. But on the same accord, just reading the book will do little to nothing to change someone.
