Title: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea
Author: Jules Verne
Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne, published in 1870. The novel is about the fictional Captain Nemo and his submarine, Nautilus, as seen by one of his passengers, Professor Pierre Aronnax.

Title: A Tale of Two Cities
Author: Charles Dickens
A Tale of Two Cities (1859) is a historical novel by Charles Dickens that centers on the years leading up to the French Revolution and culminates in the Jacobin Reign of Terror. It follows the stories of two men, Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton, who are physically similar but very different in personality; Darnay is a romantic French aristocrat, while Carton is a cynical English barrister. The two are connected, however, by their love for the same woman, Lucie Manette.

Title: Beowulf

Beowulf (c. 700-1000 A.D.) is a heroic epic poem. At 3,182 lines, it is notable for its length in comparison to other Old English poems. It represents about 10% of the extant corpus of Old English poetry. The poem is untitled in the manuscript, but has been known as Beowulf since the early 19th century.

Mrs. Reed's children, Jane's cousins, sensing their mother's feelings, treat Jane maliciously and take advantage of her inferior social status. Jane's plainness, her perceptive and passionate nature, and her occasional visions, or vivid dreams, do not help to secure her relatives' affections.

This book is about the two sisters of opposing temperaments but who share the pangs of tragic love. Elinor, practical and conventional, is the epitome of sense; Marianne, emotional and sentimental, the embodiment of sensibility. To each comes the sorrow of unhappy love: Elinor desires a man who is promised to another while Marianne loses her heart to a scoundrel who jilts her. Their mutual suffering brings a closer understanding between the two sisters--and true love finally triumphs when sense gives way to sensibility and sensibility gives way to sense.

Author: Mark Twain
Tom Sawyer, a mischievous blonde orphan taken in by his Aunt Polly, goes through a series of adventures involving his friends, Joe Harper and Huckleberry Finn. Tom is an escape master, and a professional trickster. He escapes punishment many times by his tricks.

Title: The Iliad
Author: Homer
The Iliad is, together with The Odyssey, one of two ancient Greek epic poems traditionally attributed to Homer. The poem is commonly dated to the 8th or 7th century BC, and many scholars believe it is the oldest extant work of literature in the Greek language, making it the first work of European literature. The existence of a single author for the poems is disputed as the poems themselves show evidence of a long oral tradition and hence, possible multiple authors.
