The Talent Code is the cumulation of Daniel Coyle's two year study of the worlds greatest talent 'hot-beds' in an effort to unlock the secret behind the worlds greatest talent. Coyle found three areas that if optimized will lead to accelerated talent growth:

Deep Practice

Note: But the myelin model shows that certain hotbeds succeed not only because people there are trying harder but also because they are trying harder in the right way--practicing more deeply and earning more skill.
Deep practice means total, error-free concentration on learning the skill at hand. Deep practice in the sweet-spot (where the challenge level requires complete focus and a little stretching). Deep practice can increase skill up to ten times faster. Each time we practice a movement the neuro-circuit that fires in our body is insulated with a substance called myelin. The more myelin we have surrounding our skill circuits the faster and more natural reproducing our skills become.

Ignition (or motivation)

Motivation is essential to learning a new skill. The level of motivation and as follows the level of commitment separates the truly talented from the rest.

Master Coaching

A master coach instructs his or her students by constantly giving instructions on improving technique or strategy from their 'knowledge matrix.' Hundreds of small adjustments that fine tune and refine the student's talent. A master coach is also able to connect with each student individually and motivate and encourage their best efforts.
