The sub-title 'Why Most Small Businesses Don't Work and What to Do About It' is a very concise and accurate summary of this book. Most small business owners are technical by nature. They one day decide that they can start a business based on their skills or experience. The problem with this ideas is that in most cases the technical know-how doesn't translate into the business know-how needed to run a company.
