Five Run Away Together (published in 1944) is the third book in The Famous Five series by the British author, Enid Blyton.

The Five eat heaps of Aunt Fanny's and Joanna the cook's delicious food. The biggest adventure they're going to have is to go explore their very own Kirrin Island, which George generously shares with her cousins after exciting adventures the previous summer. However their plans are spoilt, first by Joanna having been temporarily replaced by the reprehensible Mrs Stick, her husband Mr Stick and their ghastly son Edgar. When Aunt Fanny is taken suddenly ill and has to go away with Uncle Quentin to be treated in a far off hospital, the Five are left in the dubious care of the Sticks and the Sticks were too to live with so they decided to go camping at Kirrin Island and take care of themselves.

It was fun to run away from the irritating Sticks and go to their own island and live by themselves. The Five and Timmy had great fun exploring the island. They discovered a part of island that they had never seen before and thought it was a great place to live all by themselves. In the cave where they planned to stay, Anne, being neater and more sensible than the others, decorated it as nicely as possible. She made the small cave as pretty as is someone's house.

While on the island, they lived there peacefully and discovered new things. And they find some new things some amazing things and thought that there are smugglers there, at Kirrin. And one day, they find out that the Sticks have followed them there looking for them and there was no smuggler out there. They therefore search where the Sticks are staying in the dungeons and find many things from George's house. They then make a plan to get everything back-and succeed! They trap Edgar behind a wall of rocks and go to alert the authorities. At the police station, they find Uncle Quentin.
